This week I got my Australian visa and have started serious plannning of my long-dreamt of trip across Australia - using up Star Alliance miles to fly to Brisbane and on to Cairns, so driving across northern Australia to Broome, then down the west coast to Perth and back home to Norwegian winter, all in 6 weeks from early October to mid-November..... Only about 7,000 km if I take the most direct route, which I'm not planning to do....
